Each real copper switch plate & socket cover has a warm patina coated
with a protective lacquer to prevent scuffing.
Should an accident happen and the copper switch plate gets scratched, the
natural copper underneath will begin to patina too so you won't experience
the "shabby" worn look that occurs with plated or painted products.
